George Bongo

George Bongo is a Kenyan singer, songwriter, and music producer. As a child, he sang with his siblings. He was named after his grandfather who was part of a tribe called Mijikenda and lived in the coastal region of Mombasa in Kenya. The name Bongo means brains, wisdom or intelligence, and is also the name of a type of African drum.
